(A Sports & Educational institution running under Sports Authority Of Andhra Pradesh, GoAP)
The Sports School was established by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh vide Go.Rt. No. 465 YAT & C (Sports) Department dated 20-04-2005 & G.O.Rt.No.900, YAT&C(S) Dept, Dt:29.09.2006 with the concept to tap the rural talent of all budding Rural Sports persons and to project the State of A.P. in the Arena of Sports at National/ International level in a more effective manner. Initially the Sports School was started with only IV and V classes in month of December 2006 temporarily in RIMS Nursing College, Kadapa. Later, the Sports School has been shifted from RIMS Nursing college to its own buildings at near RIMS Dental college, putlampalli, Kadapa and functioning from 12.04.2010 on wards in the new complex.
